OUR MISSION
The mission of the American Legion and our post is to enhance the well-being of veterans, their families, the military, and communities through a commitment to mutual helpfulness. This mission is built on four pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. The Legion's work includes advocating for veterans' benefits, mentoring youth, sponsoring community programs, promoting patriotism, and a new initiative called "Be The One" to combat veteran suicide.
PROMOTE VETERAN SUICIDE AWARENESS
Across the nation, change is underway to reduce the number of military-affiliated Americans who are lost to suicide. Various estimates have put the daily toll at 18 or 22, while others say those figures underestimate the real number. In any case, The American Legion believes one is too many.

The American Legion advocates for veterans' affairs, gain access to exclusive member discounts, and connect with a community of fellow veterans and their families. The organization also supports communities through youth programs, scholarships, and disaster relief, and offers assistance with VA benefits.
POST 14 SCHOLARSHIP

Selections have been made for 2026 and will be award this spring.
The candidates must have a family member that is a veteran, such as, father, mother, or grandfather/mother. The sholarship will provide $1,000 per semester for undergrad and master's programs technical or trade school.
